In the sequel, Half-Life 2, Freeman is dropped into reality around 20 years after the events of Half-Life. This takes place in what resembles an Eastern European setting where the interdimensional powers-that-be have already invaded and rule the entire planet .

Episode 2 is amazing and takes the best parts of HL2 and condenses it into a bite sized 6-7 hour adventure (for better or worse). The final battle in EP2 is exceptional.

Episode One and Episode Two have the Combine Overwatch Zombie. At first, it doesn't seem so bad, just a regular zombie with twice as much health. But then you realize that they can sprint, do more damage per hit, and most importantly, can whip out a grenade and suicide bomb you.
