How to apply for a PhD programme at Aarhus University. There are five graduate schools at Aarhus University. On their websites, you will find information about PhD programmes, available PhD positions, application deadlines, application guides, financing and salaries.
The calls will be announced on the web no later that one month before the application deadline. The application form will be available at the same time as the call. See the deadlines on this page.
Application deadline: 1 October at 23:59 Danish time. Reply: First assessment (standing expert assessment committee): - No later than the end of November (if your application is not sent to the second assessment) Second assessment (Admission Committee): - No later than the end of December.
If you have between 60 and 89 ECTS at the application deadline (or will pass them before enrolment start on the PhD degree programme) you may apply for the 4+4 scheme (2 years on part A).
However, our PhD programmes are internationally very competitive, and only applicants with the highest level of documented qualifications (educational background, aca-demic skills and grades) are admitted. You can enter a three year PhD programme after five years of full-time university study (Master’s degree).
