By law, the Ohio Board of Nursing now maintains a registry of State of Ohio Certified Doulas. This resource is pubically hosted on eLicense and designed to help families connect with qualified professionals who can provide support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
We provide Professional Doula Trainings, virtually and in-person in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Doula School offers Continuing Education and Advanced Educational opportunities for doulas and other professionals in the perinatal field.

May 16, 2024 · Over half of all births in Ohio are covered by Ohio Medicaid, so the rule change has the potential to dramatically increase access to birth support. The new system to pay and certify doulas is being created by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Jan 8, 2024 · Beginning in October 2024, any pregnant or postpartum person with Medicaid coverage is now eligible to receive doula services from a Board of Nursing certified, Medicaid enrolled doula.
