Starting October 2024, Ohio will implement new certification opportunity for Ohio doulas through the Ohio Board of Nursing. Here’s what you need to know about becoming a certified doula in Ohio:
We provide Professional Doula Trainings, virtually and in-person in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Doula School offers Continuing Education and Advanced Educational opportunities for doulas and other professionals in the perinatal field.
By law, the Ohio Board of Nursing now maintains a registry of State of Ohio Certified Doulas. This resource is pubically hosted on eLicense and designed to help families connect with qualified professionals who can provide support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
When you book The Ohio Doula you get two highly trained, experienced, professional doulas. We also offer you to meet with your assigned backup. Our system ensures you have met with and are comfortable with the person attending your birth. You will meet with two doulas prenatally and for your postpartum visit, while one doula will attend your birth.
