S1.E1 ∙ Meet Mr. Sloane. Sloane's late night at the pub with Reggie, Ross and Beans, is followed by an early morning employment opportunity, and a chance encounter with a young American woman called Robin. The mates weigh in on the great peanut controversy.
Overview. Mr. Sloane's titular character is a buttoned-down 1960's man in crisis. Between his failed attempts at marriage, career success and even suicide, it's fair to say that 1969 isn't shaping up to be Watford-dweller Mr. Sloane's year.
Later, as he is fixing her tap, she tells him that her friend has cancelled on her and so, since she now has a spare ticket for a classical music concert that evening, the pair head off together for a night of culture. But an unfortunate bathroom incident threatens to put a damper on the evening.
