Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, formerly Mountview Theatre School, is a drama school in Peckham, south London, England, founded in 1945. The Academy provides specialist vocational training in acting, musical theatre and actor musicianship as well as production arts and theatre creative practices.
It is one of the UK’s leading drama schools, offering degree courses on acting, theatre design and many other aspects of the performing arts. It is also the first degree-awarding institution to be located in Peckham.
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has announced the main theatre on its newly built Peckham campus will be named after producer Cameron Mackintosh; the school will premiere a full-length production of Les Misérables in the venue.
