   • Monster's University is just showing us more of what we may like to see, but not what we really need to see. I very much enjoyed the movie, but I really hope Pixar makes a great movie again, and soon. Monsters University didn't have an edge. Agreed. If I want to see recycled plots with funnier-than-average characters, I go see a Dreamworks movie.

   Did Monsters University have an edge?

   • Monsters University didn't have an edge. Agreed. If I want to see recycled plots with funnier-than-average characters, I go see a Dreamworks movie. Pixar is capable of so much more and it disappoints me that they've stooped so low in their last three films. This one was definitely better than the two before it, however.

   Is Monster's Inc a good movie?

   • Lot's of good morals and whatnot, like 'Don't pick on people because they're different' and that 'there's always something out there that you're good at'. References to the first movie were also very appreciated. I'm happy that they didn't use the Monster's Inc. universe just for the name, but actually stayed true to canon.

   Why do you like mu more than Monster's Inc?

   • I like MU more than Monster’s Inc. The reason behind that is because i love school themed movies, and i thought the way they moved the whole Monsters universe into a college setting was very cool. One of my favorite pixar movies Honestly the movie is fantastic, and is only brought down by a fair bit of the college scenes.

   • That was definitely intended to set up his character in Monsters Inc., not as a sympathetic moment. Agree. A sympathetic moment is where someone does something bad to the person, and they respond in a natural (albeit imperfect) way. What happened to Randall was a natural moment that Randall responded to in a selfish way.

   Going into this film, the audience assumes it will be about success. It’s set in a prestigious university, signifying competition and academic success from the outset, and we expect to cheer on the protagonist as they show us how and what they achieve.
