Misty Terrain creates terrainthat envelops the field and replaces the background environment and any other terrain that is already in effect. The terrain fades after five turns. Generation VIII onwards
Misty Terrain now: 1. Increases Misty Explosion's base power by 1.5×. 2. Changes Terrain Pulse's type to Fairyand its base power doubles from 50 to 100. 3. Changes the type of a Pokémon with Mimicryto Fairy. 4. Prevents an affected Pokémon who has become drowsy from the effect of G-Max Snoozefrom falling asleep. Misty Terrain is automatically created when Max Starfallis used.
Misty Terrain changes the dungeon status to Misty Terrain which reduces damage caused by Dragon-type moves and prevents bad status conditions. This only affects Pokémon on the ground and cannot coexist with other terrains. Misty Terrain lasts for 10 turns.
Misty Terrain is the only terrain that does not boost the power of moves of its own type. It instead reduces the power of Dragon-type moves used against grounded Pokémon.
Unlike the other terrains, Misty Terrain unfortunately doesn't boost its own type attack aka Fairy. Anyway, the reasons why Misty Terrain is not used are because: Tapu Fini - the most prominent Misty Terrain setter - is not in the game.
