   • Do not buy Mirage floors! I have plenty of pictures if anyone wants proof. Bought $10k of flooring for my condo. The installer tells me that about 40% is defective. When snapped/locked some pieces have a raised lip for what is supposed to be a smooth surface floor.

   How bad is Mirage maple flooring?

   • The very bad: Soft as butter. If you drop anything it leaves a dent which then collects dirt that is impossible to remove and very visible as black marks scattered over the floor. Like some of the other reviewers I had wall to wall carpet. A family installed Mirage Maple flooring years ago and it was beautiful.

   What problems does Meritage have?

   • Following are the issues we are dealing with. Meritage will not assist as they continually state warranty expired. They will not return any calls or offer any assistance in full disclosure. They did epoxy the crack and replaced flooring and tile. The quality of workman ship in their houses is extremely poor.

   Why does Mirage wood look different?

   • I couldn't figure out for the longest time why the Mirage product looks different- and finally realized its the cut of the wood-we selected the red oak and the face of the wood is finer looking- the grain isn't magnified or phoney looking -it just seems to have a cleaner look.
