Mickey & Friends. Making her debut in the 1928 short ‘Steamboat Willie”, Minnie Mouse is the long time sweetheart of Mickey Mouse. Her real name is Minerva Mouse. Though never actually starring in her own movie, short or show, Minnie Mouse has been there from the start, through thick and thin. Her best friends are Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow.
Minnie Mouse was designed by animators Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. She was first seen in a test screening for the cartoon short "Plane Crazy" on May 15th 1928 and later made her public debut alongside Mickey Mouse in the animated short film "Steamboat Willie" on November 18th 1928. Both characters were voiced by Walt Disney himself.
