Jul 7, 2020 · I've been looking at the Euromex Oxion model and the Motic Panthera cc. Both Chinese, and they seem very similar in most respects and are similar prices. I do get a bit confused with objectives options (both are infinity corrected). Obviously, I'll be using phase contrast objectives.
Best Budget Microscope. This monocular microscope from Bebang features a 2x lens, with 4x, 10x and 40x objective lenses, allowing up to six methods of magnification - from 100x, to 2000x. These levels of magnification claim to provide a precise focus with clear, sharp images.
- Bresser Biolux NV 20x-1280x. The best microscope for beginners. Magnification: From 20x to 1280x. Eyepieces: 5x and 16x. Objective lenses: 4x, 10x and 40x.
- Swift SW380T. The best microscope for macro photography. Magnification: 40x to 2500x. Eyepieces: Two at 10x and 25x. Objective lenses: 4x, offering 40x, 100x, 250x, 400x, 1000x and 2500x adjustments.
- Celestron CM800 Compound Microscope. The best microscope for students. Magnification: 800x. Eyepieces: 10x and 20x. Objective lenses: 4x, 10x and 40x.
- National Geographic Dual LED Microscope. Best microscope for kids (aged 8 and above) Magnification: 20x to 50x. Eyepieces: 10x and 20x. Objective lenses: 10x, 25x.
They seem knowledgeable and competent, though I can’t say I was 100% satisfied with the experience. Their prices seemed fair to me, though I have read complaints on the MicrobeHunter.com forums about how much they charge for parts (my equipment did not need any parts).

Also, please note that I've had a hard time finding microscopes here in Australia. Most brands are Celestron or Saxon, with the higher-end brands like Zeiss, Nikon, etc. being out of my budget.
