Since 2012, their daughter Sophie, now helped by her husband Gautier, has been following the same path by gradually taking over the management of the estate. Sophie, Gautier, Pierrette and Marc cultivate 6.5ha of old Chardonnay vines (55-60 years old) located around the hamlet of Quintaine.

This tiny biodynamic six-hectare estate, next to the village of Clessé in southern Burgundy, has been owned and run by Pierrette and Marc Guillemot since 1985. They took over from Pierrette’s parents, who had been selling their grapes to a local co-op, but this husband-and-wife team decided they wanted to make the wine themselves.
Pierrette Michel and her husband Marc Guillemot became the winemakers of Domaine Guillemot-Michel in 1985. They cultivate their vineyards organically and converted to Biodynamics in 1991. Their daughter Sophie and her husband Gautier joined the estate in 2012.
