Dec 18, 2023 · At the heart of MERRY GOOD ENOUGH, this script delves into unresolved childhood trauma, emotional isolation, mental health, and forgiveness. It’s a breezy watch about finding bliss and connection in the imperfect.
Dec 24, 2023 · Reviewed by Dennis Schwartz. Though sincere it’s nevertheless a leaden comedy and not much more than a vacuous Christmas drama. It’s poorly co-directed by the amateurish first timers Caroline Keene and Dan Kennedy, and written by Caroline Keene as if she was run over by Santa’s reindeer.
The well-meaning attempts at Christmas magic in Merry Good Enough are sadly buried under inexperienced directing, unfocused acting, and an ultimately hollow story. Read why in my full review (with a different rating system) here.
