Max Oliver Goldblatt (born January 29, 1983, in Los Angeles) is an American actor, writer and director. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 2005. [1] He is the son of American Cinema Editor Mark Goldblatt. He briefly worked in a renaissance faire as a blacksmith.
Merritt died in Los Angeles, California, on 24 September 2020, at age 79, 13-years after being diagnosed with Goodpasture syndrome. [ 20 ] [ 21 ] Prior to his death, Merritt had recorded a new album, titled I Can Dream .
He co-founded the heavy metal band Sepultura in 1984 with his brother Igor Cavalera, and was the band's lead singer and rhythm guitarist until his departure in 1996. He currently plays in the heavy metal bands Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Killer Be Killed and Go Ahead and Die.
