Jul 1, 2018 · The Battle of Sekigahara is one of the anchor points of early modern Japanese history. Depicted in novels, manga, films, and even video games, it was the decisive 6-hour battle that preceded the Tokugawa shogunate, the last feudal Japanese military government that lasted 260 years.
Early life. Harada was born in Numazu, Shizuoka and graduated from Higashi High School. In 1972 he went to London to learn English. He then attended Tokyo College of Photography and Pepperdine University, where he spent number of years training as a filmmaker. He married journalist Mizuho Fukuda in 1976.
