Keyboards & percussion – 1981 “Haa-lacka” wasn’t a reference to hair lacquer (old-fashioned name for hair spray), but apparently an indication that he lacked humour. “Bintii” means “queen” in Swahili. also records as: Princess Tinymeat, Daniel Bintii.

Biography. The subversive beauty of the Virgin Prunes captured the imagination of a generation during a decade of extraordinary creative activity from 1977 to 1986. The band emerged from a closely knit group of young Dublin musicians called ‘Lypton Village’, some of whom formed U2.

Mary D'Nellon. Played percussion with the Virgin Prunes from 1981 to '84, then guitar from 1984 to '86. After Gavin Friday left the group in 1986 Mary continued playing with Strongman and Busaras as The Prunes (2). Mary now works and lives in France.
