Dr. Behnke has received numerous commissions for his instrumental and choral compositions, and his music has been published by Alfred Music, University of Northern Colorado Jazz Press, and his own Timberline Music Company.

Martin Behnke was born 1978 in East-Berlin. He studied Drama Studies and English at the University of Leipzig and Screen-Writing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Together with director Burhan Qurbani he wrote the screenplay for WE ARE YOUNG.
