Martin Behnke was born 1978 in East-Berlin. He studied Drama Studies and English at the University of Leipzig and Screen-Writing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Together with director Burhan Qurbani he wrote the screenplay for WE ARE YOUNG.
While visiting a museum, a group of five troubled youth, on detention, are won over by their tour guide, Mary Beth. Part of what wins them over is the story she tells from the Book of Life, which contains all the stories of the world, both true and made-up.

Biography. Martin Behnke is an American composer and conductor. Following several years of teaching music in the California public schools and in colleges and universities in four other states, Martin Behnke came to Willamette University in 1979 as Director of University Bands, later serving as chairman of the Department of Music as well.
