The works displayed here serve as reflections, or imprints, of time spent in nature where Kelly found rest from the tumult of the modern world. The images possess a quiet, peaceful quality which draws the viewer into a particular moment. Yet, these glimpses into Kelly’s world are not stationary.

Martha Kelly grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, got a B.A. in studio art and religion at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and has made her lifelong home in Memphis. She has shown in galleries across the Southeast since her first solo show in 1999.
