   I have been playing MGS2 & 3 on RPCS3. From what I heard, the RPCS3 is the better version because you are emulating the HD collection. The controls and UI are better. But I heard PCSX2 is great as well, but I have yet to try it. RPCS3 is more cpu dependent, though.

   GOG version is the original PC port and that version uses the same texures as the PSX version, so yeah, they will be at the same level. There is actually a fan made patch made by a person named Oxide that improves the PC/GOG version rather drastically.

   • The PC port of MGS1 is flawed and works inconsistently across systems. Gamepad support is iffy, some FMVs don't play correctly, and some visual effects (mostly color filters) don't display accurately, if at all. The game also has a weird save system and is prone to crashes on some hardware. However, it's not the worst version of Metal Gear Solid.

   Is mgs1 a PS1 version?

   • MGS1 appears to be an emulated PS1 version. The old PC ports of MGS 1 and 2 are, as I understand it, broken and require community patches in order to work properly. I would not advise anyone to buy this until it's confirmed they didn't just repackage the broken PC ports and call it "Master Collection!"
