  6. I think it is likely that you'll see a number of mods where no updates are needed at all for multiple Minecraft versions. It would be pretty nice for everyone (players and mod developers) if a single .jar can be used for 1.15.x, 1.16.x and 1.17.x. Once we get to that point, every single mod will be updating to the new versions almost immediately.
