Genial completely-forgettable comedy about a gang of orphans trying to save their pal Manny, a total wreck with a gambling addiction (he says he's in his 30's but looks 60), from the mob by stealing charity money from their local church and betting it on themselves to win a soccer game.
Manny coaches soccer for the fashionable Creighton Hall school, but is relieved of duty because he is 'not a good match' for the school. He finds a job at a Catholic home for orphans, where he forms a new soccer team, with the help of one very good player Pepe who turns out to be a girl.
