- Lucky Pup Dog Rescue. Located in San Diego, Lucky Pup Dog Rescue was founded in 2010 by Christine and Steve Haslet to rescue small and medium sized dogs from the death rows of some of the highest kill shelters in Southern California.
- Second Chance Dog Rescue. In 2008, Sandra D. Simpson, Jason Cordoba, and Maria Blake founded Second Chance Dog Rescue in San Diego to rescue abandoned and homeless shelter dogs, regardless of breed, age, or medical need, from all over the Southern California area, as well as Baja California region of Mexico.
