Interest in an email supposedly from cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask also spiked in recent days, according to Google Trends data. The email, titled ‘Immediate Action Required: Suspension Alert', tells you that you need to ‘update your wallet’ to comply with ‘global regulations’.
Scam alert! I also received a physical U.S. postal letter saying that this law firm has a deceased client with same last name where they can’t find the closest relative and would like to claim £11 million British pounds. They ask to give 10% to charity and split the 90% of insurance pay out.
Jun 19, 2023 · It is a scam. The threats regarding criminal prosecution are illegal. The supposed docket number is not in a format used by courts. The named law firm probably knows nothing about this. You can look up the lawfirm's contact info on your google machine and call them. If they know nothing about this, it is a scam.
