This Ridge Trail section climbs and descends open grasslands with spectacular 360-degree views at the summit. It’s a steep, rocky, and exposed old ranch road, best traveled on cool mornings in summer or bright sunny days in winter.
Scenic grasslands are dotted with old oaks, surrounded by open space hills. Have lunch on one of the shaded benches. The park is adjacent to Parks' Lucas Valley field office and other county facilities. Dogs are welcome on leash.
