Jun 16, 2022 · The articles very broadly fall into two halves – the first half of the book being mainly dedicated to the love of books, reading and book ownership, while the second half tends to focus on a writer’s appreciation of specific books or authors. Given my own interests, it was the essays in the first part of the book that gave me most pleasure.

DISCLOSURE: I own my copy of Hero (Simon Serrailler series #8.6) by Susan Hill and published by Long Barn Books. All opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own personal opinions.

  4. Heavily annotated and unusable as an A level guide. The book was cheap and arrived fairly quickly, however although I knew it was second hand I did not expect it to be heavily annotated and highlighted throughout. I had to go and buy a new one as it was for A level study. Date of experience: 19 October 2024.
