Sunday Lake is a nice little lake just north of Highway 60. There are three sites on the lake and, having visited all of them when I was there, I’d say this is far and away the best. It’s an awesome island spot with lots of room for tents, great views and great swimming.

This led me to look at Sunday Lake, a hidden gem with a campsite on an island in the centre. This was a much smaller group of only two of us so backcountry made more sense (even though we had much less experience backcountry camping) as backcountry sites are charged per person instead of a flat fee.

Jun 23, 2023 · Eddy Park and the Sunday Lake Campground are situated on the shores of Sunday Lake, a 230-acre lake that is managed by the City of Wakefield. There is a concrete dam on each side of the lake to maintain proper water levels, and the lake is known for pike, walleye, panfish, and the occasional bass.
Jun 28, 2019 · Pierce Park is a wilderness camp, situated on roughly 50 acres of woodland on Sunday Lake, Yarmouth County. Facilities include 3 shelters, a 50 feet by 30 foot lodge with wood stove, winterize cabin with 6 bunks and a wood stove as well as gazebo with a wood stove. This property has wonderful cell reception and is a great place to camp.
