Jul 12, 2019 · Liz Manashil is a filmmaker and former manager of Sundance Institute’s Creative Distribution Initiative. A few months ago, before I had a baby, I encountered the anti-romantic comedy feature film In Reality, which I immediately fell for.

She managed Sundance's Creative Distribution Initiative during its entire tenure and now consults with her fellow filmmakers (independently and through The Film Collaborative) on how best to navigate the labyrinthine-like world of distribution.
After a year of working in impact distribution at Picture Motion, Liz is now a freelance distribution consultant spending her time advocating for filmmakers to have healthy and productive relationships with their distribution partners.
