Fort Point Living History Weekend is FREE to the public. As a visitor you will have an opportunity to engage with our reanactors, and experience the sights and sounds of an active U.S. Army fort during the 1860's.
Come experience history first hand at a 160 year old Civil War Era fort! With interactive demonstrations that include infantry and cannon drills, a brass band, 1800s medicine, 1800s photography, and the daily life of soldiers and civilians of the era.
The Living History Centre, (formerly the Renaissance Centre) founders Ron and Phyllis Patterson worked with Bay Area book sellers and individuals in the 1960s and 70s to begin assembling a collection of books specifically focused on the Elizabethan and Victorian time periods with a special emphasis on daily life, theatre, and folklore.
