Oct 13, 2021 · This 2017 vintage Port is made for Waitrose by Quinta da la Rosa, a small estate in the heart of the Douro. It was a dry, hot year, but a cooler spell during harvest helped this wine retain freshness alongside the hedonistic plummy fruit flavours and spicy, fruit cake notes.
Quinta de La Rosa is a small estate in the heart of the Port wine-growing region in Alto Douro, near Pinhao, owned and operated by the Bergqvist family. The Quinta and its vineyards were given to the Bergqvist family as a Christening present by the Feuerheerds, who established the property in 1906.
The small, family run Port house Quinta de la Rosa are the crafters of our Booths Port. Situated in Northern Portugal with breathtaking views across the Douro Valley, the quinta has been in the Bergqvist family for over 100 years.
