   Lovely walk from Puerto de la Cruz through banana plantations to get here. Unfortunately, as mentioned in previous reviews , the beach is currently closed. This is due to rock falls onto the beach and paths. They are hard at work trying to secure the rocks above the beach.

   • Tony_greenshields. Birmingham, UK30 contributions. Black Sands. Lovely beach with soft black sand, it's a bit of a treck to get to on foot, but you can get a cab from Port del la Cruz or hire a car and drive down the single winding track to a resturant above with a 3 euro car park.
   • Christine R. Cornwall, UK6 contributions. January 2024, temparature 26 degrees. It wasn't obvious where to hire the sunbeds and umbrella from, but we did find a large area in the shade at the far end of the beach and it was also the best place to swim as it was less wavey.
