In 1986, Kung Fu: The Movie premiered as a made-for-TV movie. In reality, the movie was the pilot for a new series in which Caine finds himself hunted by the father of the royal nephew killed by Caine in the original pilot.

Caine seeks out a photographer who took a picture of his brother, Danny, in hopes that he will be able to help find him.
