The Easy Change system modifies only the lower two (lift) links of the 3-point hitch by adding extensions to them. These extensions allow quick connection to the attachment lift pins. The top link is connected using the normal connection process. I’ve often wondered why tractor manufacturers continue to supply the standard ‘ball’ connection ...

This is the quick hitch I have. I didn’t purchase it from the Amazon link here. Rather I purchased from Harbor Freight with a 20% off coupon. This hitch is the most cost effective on the market. Of course, that means there is compromise somewhere, right? This hitch is more ‘bulky’ than the more expensive hitches. The frame is larger (but lik...

The Deere I-Match hitch is the most popular ‘premier’ hitch for John Deere compact tractors. It is sleek, compact and looks great on the Deere tractors. The only problem….cost. It is a VERY expensive solution compared to the other options mentioned here. There really isn’t much more to say about this hitch. Very nice option, at a steep price.

This hitch is unique. The Harbor Freight Hitch, I-Match Hitch, and even all other Land Pride hitches require bushings to be attached to each attachment. These bushings are expensive, especially if you have lots of attachments. I’ve included a link to the least expensive ones I can find here. Perhaps not the right place to put the link, becau...

Before my MAGA friends blast me for this recommendation, remember that it is very likely that the I-Match is not made in USA either. If you are purchasing your tractor new, you can certainly...

  2. Jan 25, 2002 · Another 2 point set up that I have seen has been on older full size American tractors. They have the lower lift arms that you would normally see on a 3 point hitch but instead of having lift pin balls at the ends of the arms, they have a socket that the implement slides and locks into. The tractor I saw with this set up also had regular ends ...

  4. Apr 21, 2022 · The required 3-point hitch goes off the tractor’s horsepower. There are seven main categories of 3-point hitches and an additional limited hitches for some of the categories. The category number increases as the tractor and implements get larger and heavier. The chart below shows the different categories and their details. Category.

  7. Feb 2, 2021 · Category 4. The most durable three-point hitch category adds another 1/2 inch or more to the link pin diameters. They come in at 1 3/4 inch (top link pin) and 2 inches (lift arm pins). When installed on tractors offering between 180 and 400 horsepower, it’s hard to conceive of a task that a Category 4 hitch can’t handle.
