Killer Diller is a 1948 American musical comedy race film [1] directed by Josh Binney and released by All American. [2] Academic and comedienne Eddie Tafoya wrote that " Killer Diller is really more concerned with showcasing black talent appearing at Harlem 's legendary Apollo Theater than it is with providing audiences with a satisfying story."
A formulaic all-Black talent revue from 1948, with a paper thin wrap-around plot featuring Dusty Fletcher as a magician who vanishes a bunch of slapstick-afflicted cops. The brilliant stage performances preserved in amber are the heart of the film.
