May 9, 2023 · To create a KDP Community account: On the Community homepage, click “Log in” located in the top right corner of the homepage banner. From there, you can log in using your Amazon login or you can create a new login. Select “Allow” to access the Community. From here, we recommend you edit your Community user nickname (see next steps below).

I have separate shopping-on-Amazon and publishing-on-KDP accounts. But if you want them separate, you really need to have them separate from the beginning. Not only is KDP free to publish, but they would never ask for login details outside of the login screen. Do not give them your details as it violates the ToS and can get you terminated. If you paid them for formatting then demand the completed manuscript and upload it yourself. If you paid them to publish your book then demand your money back ...
