  2. Feb 20, 2023 · In my opinion KCS is ideal for clever, sporty, quite alpha boys. DS loved it; DD's bf a quieter, non sporty and sensitive boy detested it and was bullied. The school is likely to change as they all do when a Head changes and I believe Andrew Halls is about retire.

St Pauls is very slightly ahead of KCS on the govt tables for 2019 with an average A level grade point of 52.05 compared to 51.92, both are A* average. To be fair in DS1's year at KCS all the super keen sat IB and A levels were for the idle (DS1!).

    Registration is the first step for candidates who wish to be considered for a place at King’s College School. We recommend that you register at the end of Year 5 or the start of year 6, no later than the deadline, which is in early November of year 6.     The 11+ entrance examinations take place in December when boys are in year 6. There are three examinations: English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning.     In January you will be told whether or not your son has been invited back to be interviewed. If so, he will come to King’s to be interviewed by our kind and experienced staff. If your son is not offered an interview we will, sadly, not be taking his application forward.

    Offers are made in mid-February. Those boys who will not be receiving an offer from us will also be informed on that day.
