Fantagraphics recently published a large collection of Kaz’s 20-plus-years-and-counting Underworld comic strip. You should buy it if you haven’t already. His sense of humor is dark and twisted and… well, really fucked up. And no other comic strip has been as consistently funny for so long.
KAZ: You probably already know all the good ones. But see if you can find HOT-TOE MOLLIE (1930) by Romer Grey Pictures starring Binko the Bear Cub. This is the only surviving cartoon from a studio that only made two cartoons. It’s pretty wacky when the scenes shift to a Mexican Cantina.
