Katsura Sunshine (桂 三輝, Katsura Sanshain, born Gregory Robic, 6 April 1970) is a Canadian traditional Japanese rakugo comic storyteller, theatre producer, and television personality, currently residing in New York City, United States. He was also known in Toronto for his musical version of Aristophanes ' " Clouds ".

May 28, 2021 · The NC Japan Center had the opportunity recently to interview Katsura Sunshine, famous “rakugo” storyteller. Sunshine is only the second professional non-Japanese “rakugoka” in the history of the art form, and completed an apprenticeship under renowned rakugo master and television host Katsura Bunshi VI.
Sep 25, 2017 · Katsura “Sunshine” (桂 三輝, Katsura Sanshain) has mastered rakugo, Japan's “art of comic storytelling“. He's the only officially qualified non-Japanese rakugo professional in the world and gets the first part of his name from Katsura Bunshi VI, the “master” who taught him the ropes.
