Katarzyna Klimkiewicz is a Polish director that graduated from the Polish Film School. She directed her first feature film Flying Blind in 2012 which won several awards including Best Director, Grand Prix and Critics Award at the Polish Festival of First Films Młodzi i Film in Koszalin.
Since her success at the Edinburgh International Film Festival for her first directional feature debut; Flying Blind, Polish director Katarzyna Klimkiewicz's is creating a stir in the film world.
Tapping into Klimkiewicz’s interest in the influence and importance of social and political positions on people's intimate lives, Flying Blind portrays a romance between a 40 something drone engineer Frankie and a 24 year old Algerian student that is tainted by suspicions of the young man being a spy.
