Built especially for the World Cup, the Kaliningrad stadium can be found on the banks of the Pregel river a 20-30 minute walk from the Fanzone and Kant Island.
The stadium is two-tiered, with a design modelled on the Allianz Stadium in Munich. Its capacity for the World Cup was 35,000, but this is to be reduced to 25,000. It's 2 km east of city centre on Oktyabrsky Island, a long marshy island in the River Pregolya.
