Jul 4, 2023 · 2. Beware pig butchering. Victims are wooed romantically before being offered fake investments. This horrible hybrid of romance and investment scams called ‘pig butchering’ by scammers. That's because fraudsters ‘fatten up’ the victim with loving words before executing the investment part of the scam.
unit runs for a month or more. Customer service says battery isn’t covered, no fix or replacement. Completely unserviceable, attempted to fix my previous pax 2 unit (which lasted three years). Feb 27, 2024 · Two names kept cropping up in the scam reports we received: Alerts4U and Stripey Offers. Registered as separate companies (SB7 Mobile Ltd and Stripey Giraffe Ltd), they use near-identical branding, list the same PO box address and promote shopping discount alerts costing £1.50 per text message, up to a maximum of three alerts a week.
