As far as the Pax 3 battery vs Pax Plus the Batteries are about the same. I say about because my Pax 3 I got when it first came out. I do notice a flavor difference when using the same flower with the regular screen in pax 3 vs 3d screen in the plus. However I do like messing with the ap on the 3 vs the plus.

The PAX 3 I found has a nice balance of flavor and potency on the 3 petal setting. The manual says pack tightly but that doesn't mean so tightly that the oven screen gets bent and messes the flow up. The manual does explain pretty well this next point but I think it is still worth mentioning: don't expect to power chug.
