After Wendy gets dropped off outside the house after a late date, she sneaks around to find a way inside without waking up her family — particularly her strict father, Graham. She ultimately ends up climbing in through the kitchen window. Unfortunately, she steps directly into a fully-loaded sink in a very dark room. Suddenly jolted by Connie unexp...
Connie: "It's a little chilly to be rolling around in the grass with some football player, isn't it?" Wendy: "Is your opinion of me so low that you think I would sneak out in the middle of a school night just to roll around in the tall grass with some boy I hardly even know?" Connie: (plucking grass off Wendy) "Mm-hmm." Wendy: (airily, pretending t...
Only instance of the kitchen window/sink being used as an entrance. Not much was removed from the episode when it ran in syndication.Continuity Errors
1. Wendy could not have borrowed Cindy's clothes & shoes because later episodes imply that they wear different size clothing.
Factual Errors
1. The point that Cindy brings up about being responsible for your actions is valid enough that it should not so easily have been brushed aside so swiftly by her parents. Understandably, they are more focused on another more pertinent issue at the time, but Cindy's concern is completely valid. 2. The scene with Graham possessing and using a handgun in the classroom definitely would not be so well-received in the present day.
Plot Holes
1. The truth of specifically which "Lubbock Babe" the note refers to is never explicitly revealed, but it seems very likely to be Wendy, based on the events of this episode. Although it is possible that it could be referring to Connie, based on her own recollections. 2. It is never truly confirmed whether or not Connie's story is true, and no further investigation is ever done to verify the facts. 3. Wendy could have just entered quietly through the back door. 4. Wendy was able to retrieve an...
"Strangers in the Night": When he finds a student's note detailing a date with one of his daughters, he lies about it giving a name and says the guilty girl better speak up of their own will or else.
