    Characters:

    •Badniks

    •Crab Bot (cameo)

    •Comedy Chimp (cameo)

    •Diane Aardvark

    •Dixon (first appearance)

At the beginning of the episode, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Sticks and some townspeople in the Village Center are watching a news report from Soar the Eagle on "Beaver Fever", causing some of the villagers to assume Fastidious Beaver is infectious. As Soar elaborates, it turns out he is talking about a pop star named Justin Beaver who is gaining popularity. Amy Rose then shows up and says that she listened to one of Justin's songs and it felt like he was talking to her. She plays that song to the rest of Team Sonic, but everyone except for Sticks does not like it. When the boys visit Sticks soon after, they discover Sticks has decorated her burrow with Justin's merchandise. Amy then shows up and tells her that Justin is in town signing stuff at the music store and that he is performing live tonight. The girls freak out and head to the music store, but seeing Sticks' behavior makes Sonic think that something is fishy.

In the Village Center, there is a big crowd at the music store, all ladies having come to see Justin and get his autograph. Each of them, however, exhibiting unusual fangirl behavior, including Lady Walrus. Then, as Justin's producer Dixon has Justin's music turned up, all the ladies go crazy and start swarming the shop to buy Justin's merchandise. When Sonic, Tails and Knuckles show up to investigate, they are waved off by Salty, who says that only musical personnel are allowed. In response, Sonic has the idea to form a boy band along with Tails and Knuckles. The trio quickly choreograph a dance routine, but then have to choose a band name. After a lot of brainstorming, Knuckles suggests "Dude-itude", but Sonic says that sounds too cool. Tails then comes up with "Dreamboat Express", which gets selected since it sounds horrible. The newly formed Dreamboat Express walk back to the music store, and they convince Salty that they are Justin's opening act. Back stage, the band overhears Dixon talking with Wild Cat about Justin using his songs to control the ladies' minds and turn them into mindless consumer zombies so Dixon can earn a fortune. Furthermore, Dixon reveals how Justin's next concert will brainwash every female within a five mile radius. This is the clincher, and after escaping Dixon, the boys head to Tails' Workshop when they fail to convince Amy and Sticks of Dixon's plot. While there, Tails creates a device called the Measure-o-meter that can determine the frequency of Justin's music, thereby allowing them to find the counter-frequency that will dispel Justin's mind control. With this device, the band is ready.

•Dreamboat Express and Dude-itude are formed and put a stop to Justin Beaver's mind control music which was orchestrated by Dixon. These events would be recalled in "Planes, Trains and Dude-Mobiles" and "Vector Detector"; Dude-itude also returns in "Planes, Trains and Dude-Mobiles" and "Three Men And My Baby!".

•Justin promised at the end of this episode that he would get a job in reality television. This promise was revealed to have been fulfilled in "Vector Detector".

•When the camera focuses on Sticks leaving the shop at the beginning of the episode, a blue sky is seen in the background between the buildings. However, as the camera shifts to Sonic and Knuckles, the background is replaced with mountains.

•The ones who removed the cover for Dreamboat Express when they spied on Dixon are actually two identical Fennec Garbage Men.

According to Alan Denton, the staff listened to lots of Justin Bieber music while writing this episode. When coming up with names for Sonic's band, alternate name would be "Dimple Town", "Lavender Boys" and "The Paisley Experience".

•Justin Beaver is a parody of Justin Bieber.

•This is the first time in the franchise since Sonic Underground to have Sonic sing as well as the first time in the franchise overall to have Tails and Knuckles sing.

•This episode features a total of twelve songs (not including the intro and credit songs).

•During the scenes with large female audiences, several recolored duplicates of series' recurring characters are seen among the crowd. This is most likely due to Sonic Boom's limited budget concerning character creations. As such, multiple copies of one character can be spotted in one scene, while others seemingly appear in an entirely different place after being spotted in another.

•A soundalike of the pop jazz instrumental "Yakety Sax" plays during the chase scene between Dixon and Dreamboat Express.

•This is the first time Perci and Salty, both whom debuted in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, appear in the television series.
