Aug 23, 2010 · To keep everything level through the frequency range, you should use the same cable as your main speaker cable. Kind of makes sense to me, but I have Nordost monofilament jumpers with completely different speaker cable.
Jul 13, 2021 · 1) We don't know for sure what material blend is in the original connector plates. 2) Cross sectional area matters and so does contact area to the terminals where the plates seem to win vs the wire. 3) Only part of the amps energy goes through the plates, the bass woofer uses most of the current.
May 27, 2016 · I recently upgraded to new amp that has only one set of speaker terminals. Prior to this upgrade, I run bi-wire connection to my BW CM 10’s S2 with two runs of Kimber 4TC wire. Dropping one run of the cable, I re-installed the supplied jumper plates and currently run with the single set of wires.
Jan 27, 2010 · In connecting the speaker cables to the top mid/high frequency terminals, you're bypassing the jumpers to the highs- the highs receive the most direct signal, yet you are adding the jumpers' 'sound' to the lows.
May 29, 2006 · The point of these jumpers is to do something called "bi-wire" your speakers. This involves taking two parrallel lengths of wire from your amp (the same amp, same channel) to each speaker (same speaker too), and removing the jumpers from the speakers altogether.
Dec 4, 2009 · I found replacing the jumpers with wire to be more effective and reliable. In your case, with 300w per channel amps, this is one of the few time I would say bi-wiring couldn't hurt. You could bi-wire with 14ga, but if it were me, I would go to 12ga.

Dec 1, 2013 · When you bi-wire, you're altering the speaker cable, as if you paralleled your cables. They could sound worse, the same, or better. I've noticed not so subtle differences in different (RELATIVELY CHEAP) speaker cables.
