   What is Old Stanton known for?

   • In the 1990's, the trustees of Old Stanton signed a lease with Edward Waters College of the AME Church, enabling the institution to establish a private school in the building. This school, known as the Academy of Excellence, provides quality education for black students. Stanton now reaches toward the future.
