John Caird’s collaboration with Trevor Nunn at the R.S.C. began with ‘Merry Wives Of Windsor’ in 1979 at Stratford. In 1980 Caird and Nunn co-directed ‘The Life And Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby’ at the Aldwych Theatre which won the SWET and Evening Standard Awards for Best Director.
