Guest Gallery. Joel Thurm From Hollywood to Provincetown. May 25 – 29, 2019. Joel Thurm was a major player in the Entertainment Industry as the Head of Casting for NBC Hollywood and as a General Manager on Broadway but now he has started a new chapter as a photographe .
Prior to his photography career, Thurm, now living in Los Angeles, was a top casting director. His work includes three iconic movies: Grease, Airplane!, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show and 10 years as Senior VP Talent and Casting for NBC from 1980-90.

As we stood outside of his charming original 1931 cottage, Joel Thurm seemed the king of the hill. Following his retirement several years ago—except to those he knows best—most of his neighbors probably refer to him as “the guy next door.”
