Joaquim Jordà va néixer el 9 d’agost de 1935, fill del notari de Santa Coloma de Farners (Girona). Va créixer amb una gran afició pel cinema i, ben aviat, va tenir el somni d’esdevenir escriptor.
Los últimos documentales de Joaquim Jordà se han convertido en referentes de un público que no se da por satisfecho con cualidades estrictamente cinematográficas. Desde 1979, año en que realizó Numax presenta, las películas de Jordà han aparecido vinculadas a debates más amplios.
