Dec 21, 2023 · Napoleon is more polished in its tactical gameplay, offers a prettier and more accurate campaign map and has access to some of the best mods in the series: NTW3, LME, Field Command. Get Napoleon and don't bother with Empire - CA treated it the same it treated Rome 2 on launch; but unlike Rome 2, Empire never got true fixes and updates.
Depends on what you want. Empire offers one of the largest campaign, and what some consider the best trading system in the series. Napoleon is much more focused with and plays just like empire but better optimized and less bugs. I like Napoleon more than Empire.
If you want Ottoman vs Russia and Austria then go Napoleon. There's also France vs Ottoman in the Napoleonic campaigns. However if you want a bit more freedom and to take them south or east, then Empire.
Napoleon's battles are FAR more polished. The artillery is much more responsive, effective, and all around awesome. The troops, if I remember correctly, have more variation and formations. If you're all about the battles I would VERY MUCH recommend Napoleon.
Jun 29, 2010 · pros: better ai, several mini campaigns, stable multiplay, better mpc, more agent options, more diplomacy options, attrition in regions, naval invasions, more options when conquering, player can create/free factions, more tactical depth on the battlefield, better graphics/immersion.
Jun 19, 2019 · Empire Total War vs Napoleon Total War. I'd like to ask you which Total War you prefer: Empire or Napoleon? Napoleon is better than Empire in graphics, but I would also like to read your opinion in terms of campaign map and campaign gameplay, battles (naval and land), variety of factions and units, and in general your gameplay experience.
